Out there is a star, a heavenly body which harbors the seed of life. Through it many planets over the years have been seeded with the origins of life. Yes life on Earth is not a unique phenomenon. It is a mere accident.

Two hypotheses have been widely forwarded.

The first one is that the life originated in the infancy of the Earth as the hot lava which flowed in its veins cooled and lead to a formation of a chemical soup which was the first aggregate of the building blocks of life...amino acids.

Over the period of time these very same aminoacids through complicated processes joined together to form the first complex organism...the primitve ancestor which spawned the growth of diverse life forms over millions of years.

And life as we know of today evolved.

There is another hypothesis... more interestiing one.

It says that the life that we know on Earth arose from elsewhere.

Imagine the normal human process of reproduction. There is an unfertilized Egg, and a motile Sperm. When millions of sperm try to fertilise One Egg, only one of them succeeds and there is a chemiacl reaction in the minutest level which sparks off the embryo to multiply and life as we know begins. This is the universal truth about the origin of new life as we know of today.

There is a similar hypothesis that matches this concept regarding the 'fertilization' of the Earth with a motile sperm...the theory is Panspermia.

The Earth is equated to an unfertilized Egg and a COMET laden with the necessary amino acidsTHE SPERM, precursors of life swooshing across space and coming into impaction with the Earth leading to it's Fertilization with life.:)

The biggest sexual act imaginable.:)

The comet would be from a fertile region of the cosmos teaming with amino acids and the precursors of life. I call this place The Dark Star , for it is still unknown.

From where did the amino acids reach this place is a controversial subject. More puritans thus try to stick to the chemical soup theory of the Earth.

But the other theory of Panspermia, is very exotic, romantic and surprisingly plausible!

There have been experiments conducted where balloons have been sent into the upper reaches ofthe atmosphere to collect bacteria samples.

One would expect that as the balloons ascended there would be a scarcity of bacteria, due to the increasing distance between the Earth...but the contrary was found...bacteria were the same, if not increased in some aspects. This could only mean that bacteria were entering Earth from some Extra Terrestrial source...in this case meteorites perhaps...

The origin of life with the proportions seen on Earth perhgaps required a huge and a massive comet impact in the ancient past which seeded the fertile soil with complicated micro organisms.

Some believe that the Dark Star could have been Mars, some feel that it could somewhere deep in the Kuiper belt and the Oort clouds...in the periphery of the solar system called by fiction writers as the Twelfth Planet.

These writers even claim that the planet is well documented in the Sumerian chronicles of the ancients and that Earth is visited regularly by the extra terrestrials who are our ancestors from this very same planet.

Whatever may be the hypothesis and the science fiction, it is my belief that every part of the galaxy has a home Dark Star...which carries in its womb the precursors of life...these are in various parts of Time carried to fertile heavenly bodies and seeded with diverse life forms.

We are a byproduct of the greatest Sexual Union imaginable.
